Community Service is at the heart of Al Tariq Court No. 228. We have partnered and volunteered with a variety of organizations including 7 Bridges to Recovery, Must Ministries Mobile Pantry, NAACP Cobb County Branch, Lupus Foundation of America (Georgia Chapter), Pruitt Health Marietta/Austell, Mohammad Schools of Atlanta, American Diabetes, Must Ministries Toy Drive, Co-Host of Cobb County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade, Live Safe Resource, American Cancer Society, HBCU Fund, Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, United Negro College Fund, Special Olympics, March of Dimes, American Legion Post 296. Thank you for visiting Al Tariq Court No. 228, Oasis of Marietta, Desert of Georgia website. We hope as you venture through our website, you will learn about our wonderful court and illustrious organization.

Al Tariq Court No. 228 is an Auxiliary of the Prince Hall Shriners, and we strive to support Prince Hall Shriners in all their endeavors. We are a charitable and benevolent organization, which stresses the development of powerful leaders, encourages health awareness among youth and adults, celebrates the historic and current achievement of African American women. Chartered August 22, 2017, Al Tariq Court No. 228 focus its endeavors on serving Marietta, Georgia, and the greater Cobb County community.

We are part of the Desert Conference of Georgia, which consists of 18 Temples and 14 Courts who have faithfully served the community of Georgia for more than 100 years. Our Temples and Courts are strategically located in all major cities across the state to better serve the community and have a direct impact on social matters. Some of our activities include youth mentoring, supplying food to shelters, family adoptions during Thanksgivings and Christmas seasons, toy give-a-ways, etc.

Our 2024 Court Theme is “Getting Back to the B.A.S.I.C.S. Part II” as this is the year, we will serve by displaying Bold Actions with Sincere and Impeccable Charitable Service throughout the Oasis of Marietta. Our bible theme is “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
